Canadian Pacific Orient Giclee Print
Between 1918 and the start of World War II, the Canadian Pacific Steamship Company greatly expanded its services on the Pacific. Numerous posters terming the line "the largest and fastest to the Orient" lured the public East. Here, one of the company's vessels makes its way into a harbor filled with tattered junks. The scene is a picturesque study in contrasts - East and West, old and new, fast and slow - all bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun. This is a fine art giclee print of a vintage Orient Express travel poster for the Canadian Pacific fleet. See Canadian Pacific Orient Giclee Print enlarged or framed.

Vintage Cunard Ship Line Aquitania Giclee Print
Rosenvinge, an accomplished maritime painter, was most active between 1913 and 1933. During those years he created a number of fine posters for Cunard and the Orient Line. In his view here of Cunard's Aquitania - she was known as "the ship beautiful" - the vessel seems to take on even greater majesty in contrast to the small tender. And the Rosenvigne technique is so masterful you can almost hear cawing gulls an smell the acrid smoke. This beautiful piece, part of an exclusive line of incredibly high quality commemorative edition Giclee prints, is printed on a thick, 100% acid free, imported heavy archival stock. The finest museum standard archival water-based organic inks and paints are used to produce a stunningly brilliant piece with a rich, non-glare matte finish. This is a rare Giclee, and is unusual in that it is not mass produced. Other limited edition prints are produced by the hundreds or even thousands, while this piece is printed only one at a time, individually made and hand numbered. India Australia - Lmtd. Ed. Hand Numbered Fine Art Giclee Print
The sheer romantic indulgence of ocean travel practically gushes off the surface of the paper of this promotion for the british P & O Line and their service to India, Australia and points in between, including ports in the straits of China and Japan. As opposed to other advertisements for the company that emphasized the mysteries of the exotic East, Michael chooses the shipboard life itself as the seductive thrust of his design, bathing the scene in golden wash, upping the ante of the swoon of the ladies for the dashing officer in starched dress whites. And what daily drab could resist this allure, especially seeing as all this wish fulfillment is available for the affordable indulgence of a tourist class fare. Central Hudson Line Fine Art Vintage Giclee Print
This is a vintage fine art giclee print featuring a touring excursion of the Hudson to see Franklin Street Pier which is now Battery Park City. Also there would be a trip to West 129th Street which no longer exists. The description of the Hudson being "a river of beauties" may not be so much the case anymore but it reminds us of a bygone erra.
